Here we have a fabulous BMW E46 M3 coupe, with the sought after 6-speed manual gearbox and no sunroof. The car is completely standard and unmodified. A BMW dealer Vehicle Health Check carried out in February 2019 confirmed the rear subframe remains in good condition.
Originally sold by us in July 2019 on behalf of a good friend, for whom I helped source the car in May 2016. Back then we looked at a large number of cars before buying HK52 YLG. It had the best combination of specification, originality, service history and overall condition. We are delighted to have the car back into stock, taken as a part exchange against a 987 Porsche Boxster S.

The bodywork and paint on HK52 YLG is in excellent original condition, with just one or two stone chips to the front end, and a single tiny dent on the passenger side rear wheel arch. There is no rust (and never has been), and the underside of the car is also in clean original order.
The service history is very good, and the indicated interval to the next service (Inspection II) is currently 11,550 miles. The car was inspected by Westerly BMW in February 2019, and given a clean bill of health, including the rear subframe. They picked up just a few issues that were attended to before we sold the car in 2019 – an ABS ring and sensor, the oil pressure sensor/switch, and a clamp required on the front of the rear silencer box.
The interior of the car is in very good condition throughout – the black leather seats are supple and clean, the carpets and mats perfect, door cards, dashboard and roof lining all excellent.
All the electrics work as they should, with the possible exception of the rear parking sensors, which occasionally give a false ‘beep’ when reverse is first engaged.
The 19” Style 67 M3 wheels were professionally refurbished in 2014 and remain in excellent condition, with just one tiny kerb mark to the rim of the offside rear wheel.
On the road, HK52 YLG delivers scintillating performance as you would expect. A true modern classic in manual gearbox form, values of good E46 M3 coupes are firming up as appreciation of this great driver’s car grows.
The last MOT test in March 2020 identified a couple of minor advisories, a small oil leak on the differential, and some surface corrosion or unidentified coating on the rear brake lines. Both of these will be attended to before sale, along with providing a fresh MOT.
Call Sean on 07595 455568 if you have any questions or would like to arrange to view and test drive the car. Like all our Porsche cars, this BMW M3 will be sold with a comprehensive 6 month/6,000 mile Warrantywise warranty.
