RX03KXS. 2003 Porsche 986 Boxster 2.7. 5-speed Manual, Lapis Blue, Graphite grey extended leather.

A car we originally bought in 2024 from its long term owner, who had bought the car in 2009 from Williams Crawford, and had it serviced every year by the same Porsche specialist Oak Tree Garage in East Devon. The service history is extensive, with a total of 21 Porsche or Porsche specialist stamps in the maintenance record, backed up with an inch-thick file of invoices. We sold it in April 2025 to a chap who has used it properly, adding 14,000 miles in the year he has owned it. He has now traded up to a low mileage 986 3.2 S, so RX03KXS is back with us again. It is now showing 107,897 miles but remains in superb mechanical order throughout. A great entry level 986 Boxster, which drives beautifully.

Here we have a lovely low mileage example of a facelift 986 Boxster 3.2 S first registered in June 2003. LK03XVP has covered just 54,549 miles over the past 22 years or so, averaging just 2,500 miles per year. Presented in the classic colour combination of Arctic Silver with Metropole Blue leather and a blue hood, the car was ordered with a big option list comprising: PSM Porsche Stability Management, automatic air conditioning, extended leather to dash and door cards, ruffled leather seats, Litronic xenon headlights with washer system, ParkAssistant, Becker Porsche CDR-23 CD radio with 6-disc CD changer, gear stick and handbrake lever with aluminium inlays, Arctic Silver painted centre console, on board computer, wind deflector and a top tinted windscreen. We are delighted to have in stock a rare car indeed – a 2010 987.2 Boxster 3.4 S 6-speed manual with less than 30,000 miles from new. Presented in Meteor Grey metallic paint with a black leather interior, MW10NPG has covered just 29,903 miles in the past 15 years, and remains in stunning, virtually unmarked condition throughout. Options fitted include 19″ 997.2 Carrera S wheels, PCM3 Porsche Communication Management with navigation module and universal media interface, and rear parking sensors.

Despite the low mileage, routine maintenance has been carried out to schedule, with the service book showing 10 stamps for regular servicing during it’s lifetime. Here we have a fantastic “Gen 2″ 987 Boxster 2.9 with lots of recent maintenance and very good service history, all from recognised Porsche specialists. Options include heated seats, ParkAssistant, 18” Boxster 987.2 alloy wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport tyres, and red seat belts. We carried out a major service with spark plugs and auxiliary belt for the previous owner in February 2025, and to prepare the car for sale we have just fitted new front and rear brake discs and pads, new AC condensers, and replaced the drivers window switch pack (these often fail due to water dripping from the A pillar – silly positioning really!).

We are delighted to welcome back one of the rarer versions of the Boxsters and Caymans that we specialise in here at Flat Six Classics. RO11OVM is a 2011 987.2 Cayman 3.4 S with the 6-speed manual gearbox, in special order GT Silver with black leather. 79,455 miles. These are rare cars, as they were only on sale from 2009 – 2012 through the global financial crisis when sales volumes in the UK were depressed, with the new PDK gearbox option accounting for the majority of those sales.

The 987.2 or “Gen 2” Boxsters and Caymans were much more than just a cosmetic facelift of the 987 models. The all-new 9A1 series engines replaced the M97 engines from the Gen 1, at a stroke eliminating the main issue that affected the larger M97 engines – bore scoring.
