Here we have a very nice 986 Boxster 3.2 S in ever popular Seal Grey with black leather interior and hood. KC02KAE has covered just under 65,000 miles in 20 years, with a good service history with 9 stamps in the record. The last of these stamps in January 2022 was part of our preparation of the car for sale, comprising a Major service, new spark plugs and ignition coils, auxiliary drive belt and brake fluid change. On top of this, we have replaced the water pump (the bearing felt a little “gravelly” on inspection), fitted new AC condensers and recharged the system, and fitted a new set of tyres.

This Mercedes 200SLK has come to us as a part exchange, and is in excellent condition throughout. 81,000 miles and with a full service history (11 stamps, the last in June 2021 at 77,531 miles). Normally we would sell these cars to colleagues in the trade, but YT55RWF is in such nice condition that we’ve decided to offer it ourselves.

Presented in Tellurium Silver with a pale beige leather interior, the car is cosmetically excellent, with just two small marks – a touched in scratch to the passenger side rear wing, and a split to the stitching on the drivers seat side bolster. Other than that, it is spotlessly clean, everything works and it drives without fault.

Here we have another lovely early Boxster S, in the classic colour combination of Arctic Silver with black leather. J70 YLR was first registered in September 2000 and delivered by Porsche Centre Bournemouth to its first owner, who specified a mouthwatering selection of options for his Boxster: heated sports seats, Litronic xenon headlamps with washer system, extended leather to dashboard and door cards, 18″ 993 Turbo look wheels, PSM Porsche Stability Management, and a couple of lovely cosmetic touches – roll over bar painted Arctic Silver, and aluminium inlays to the gearknob and handbrake lever.

This Boxster has covered 89,518 miles over the past 20 years or so, with 55,000 of these being covered in the first 6 years, before settling back to a more typical 2,500 miles per year since then. Another early Boxster 3.2 S first registered in March 2000 by Dick Lovett in Swindon, W367GAP is in absolutely superb order throughout, with great history and just 49,148 miles from new, an average of just 2,340 miles each year in the hands of just 4 owners, the first two of which were father and son.

The specification of this car is generous, with some choice options added by Mr Walker when ordering his Boxster after seeing it at the London Motor Show in October 1999 – a copy of the Porsche brochure from the Show with handwritten annotations is included in the history file. The main options are hardback sports seats, extended Metropole leather to dashboard and door panels, automatic air conditioning, Traction Control, Litronic xenon headlights with washer system, and a Becker Porsche CDR-22 CD radio unit. A super “facelift” Boxster 3.2 S in the ever popular Lapis Blue with graphite grey leather interior, BJ03GKC has covered just 70,256 miles over the past 18 years, in the hands of five owners. The car is lightly optioned with heated seats and automatic air conditioning, and the previous owner has updated the hi-fi with the addition of an Alpine CD radio with Bluetooth and USB connectivity (whilst keeping the original Becker Porsche CDR-23 head unit for originality if desired).

We recently took BJ03GKC on a 2,000 mile trip around the North West Highlands of Scotland (the ultimate test drive!), and had a fantastic time. We have already prepared the car with a Major service and brake fluid change, new clutch, and replaced the rear brake discs and pads.

A very nice “facelift” 986 Boxster 2.7 in classic Arctic Silver with black leather interior, VO03EEG has covered 81,500 miles since new and comes with a good service history, with 12 maintenance stamps in the service record. Looking particularly smart on its JBW Fuchs replica deep-dish wheels fitted with Michelin N-rated tyres, and sounds great as well thanks to the stainless steel sports exhaust.

These 2.7 “facelift’ cars are a real sweet spot for the 986 Boxster range – increased power and torque over the 2.5 and earlier 2.7 cars, a more modern look with revised bumper design and clear lights, and the upgraded hood with heated glass rear window.

VO03EEG drives very nicely, with perfectly weighted controls, plenty of performance, surefooted roadholding and precise steering delivering a sublime driving experience.
