A rare and beautifully presented 996-era 911 Targa 6-speed manual, with a fantastic service history and a number of significant additional maintenance items addressed. With just 67,376 miles covered and 12 maintenance stamps in the service record, we sourced WR03YCC in 2020 for a good customer, who swapped his Speed Yellow Boxster S for this car so he could take both his grandchildren out at the same time.
Stunning in classic Arctic Silver with extended black leather interior, WR03YCC has a few well chosen options – 18″ Turbo look wheels, BOSE sound system, a rear screen wiper and originally, PCM2 with navigation module. Our customer wanted to upgrade the hi-fi to a modern setup with Bluetooth, so has replaced the PCM2 head unit with a Pioneer AVH-Z3200DAB double DIN head unit, complete with a subtly integrated rear parking camera. Very high tech!
The car has been maintained to a very high standard, and on top of regular maintenance, the following works have been completed. In March 2014 at 61,753 miles, Sports and Classic of Knutsford replaced the clutch, rear main seal and IMS bearing. In April 2017 at 63,769 miles the exhaust silencers were replaced with stainless Dansk units, along with all their fixings. And in February 2020, the Targa roof system was completely refurbished by Northway Porsche, including replacement of the roof drive cables, at a cost of over £2,100.
Before selling the car to our customer in June 2020, we completed a full inspection, Minor service and brake fluid change at 65,542 miles, so the next scheduled maintenance is May 2022 or 77,500 miles. This time around, we have had the front bumper re-painted to remove some stone chips and a small scuff on the corner.
These are rare cars, especially with the 6-speed manual gearbox (many Targas were ordered as Tiptronics), and drives beautifully, the 316bhp 3.6-litre flat six delivering serious performance and a stirring soundtrack. A true modern classic, in stunning condition throughout.
