Porsche Boxster & Cayman for sale

Here we have a stunning early Boxster 2.7 in Guards Red, which has covered an amazingly low 16,118 miles from new in the hands of just 3 owners, 2 of whom were father and son. W772VHB was first registered in the UK on 16th June 2000, having been originally collected from Wittebrug Porsche in Voorburg, Netherlands on 30th May 2000. Wittebrug Porsche was the world’s first Porsche dealer, having started selling Porsche cars in 1950! Ordering a UK-spec Porsche from a European dealer was quite commonplace at the turn of the century, as UK dealers struggled to get enough cars to satisfy demand.

The first owner, from Abergavenny, ordered his Boxster with a rare option at the time – the SportDesign package (option code 012) which included diamond pattern trim to the dashboard, door panels and centre console, contrast Graphite Silver painted plastics, black leather sports seats with Graphite Silver painted seat backs, and black leather instrument binnacle top cover and passenger airbag cover. Heated seats, a 3-spoke steering wheel, and a Becker Porsche CR-22 cassette radio with 6-disc CD autochanger completed the specification.

He kept his Boxster for nearly 4 years, and it was then sold in February 2004 by Porsche Centre Exeter to a Mr White of Yelverton, at this point having covered just 8,672 miles and with 4 main dealer services completed. Mr White used his car very sparingly, had a couple more main dealer services in 2005 (at 10,724 miles) and 2007 (at 12,128 miles). The history file then shows that the car was SORN’d in 2008, remained MOT’d until 2011 and then entered a period of hibernation until late 2020, at which point the car was passed to Mr White’s son, who has added a massive 3,500 miles to the total in the last 5 years! He recommissioned the car in late 2020 with new tyres, battery and a replacement fuel pump, plus a Minor service.

The car remains in stunning original condition throughout, our preparation for sale including a Major service, new spark plugs and auxiliary drive belt, brake fluid change and some clamps and fixings on the exhaust. It drives like a 2 year old car, feeling nice and tight with lovely supple suspension. The Guards Red paintwork is bright and almost unblemished, and the plastics and headlights retain their factory fresh look with no fading or discolouration. The interior is like new, likewise the black fabric hood which still has it’s original plastic rear screen in good order. These early cars have a few features not found on the later models – light grey luggage compartment carpets, a scuttle vent and levers for the two boot releases. This car was also built at the Porsche factory in Stuttgart, not by Valmet in Finland like the majority of Boxsters from 2000 onwards.

This is a rare find – a super low mileage early Boxster with just 3 owners from new, and remaining in fantastic condition throughout.
