Here we have a great low mileage example of the 987.1 Boxster 2.7, a car that we sold first last year to a lovely chap in Paignton, who was so bitten by the Porsche bug that 6 months later, he had us source a 987.2 Cayman S for him! Which was great, as that meant we got back his Boxster as part of the deal.

GN55AXD is presented in classic Arctic Silver with Stone Grey leather interior and a black hood, and has covered just 46,279 miles over the past 19 years, on average just 2,500 miles per year. It actually did 33k miles in the first 5 years, so has settled down to just over 1,000 miles per year since then. The car was ordered with just a couple of well chosen options – heated seats and rear parking sensors. Running on the standard 17″ Boxster alloy wheels (fitted with a new set of Toyo Proxes Sport tyres by us last August) the car rides beautifully, with great composure and absolutely the right combination of supple ride and surefooted roadholding. These 2.7 engined 987.1 Boxsters have a wonderful feel to the way they drive – enough performance from the 240bhp flat-six motor, and a fantastic lightweight feel to all the controls – clutch, gear change, steering, brakes all working in harmony to really “flow” down your favourite B road. Having covered just 600 miles since we last prepared the car for sale last summer means there is not a lot we need to do in terms of preparation, just a thorough inspection and checking of all the fluid levels and pressures, plus of course we will renew the MOT on sale, and provide a new set of Porsche carpet mats, as the original ones are a little worn.
