We are very pleased to welcome back one of the finest 986 Boxster 3.2 S models we have ever had here at Flat Six Classics. We sold this car to a retired metallurgist two years ago, and he has now decided to change to a more modern Gen 2 987 Boxster, so kindly offered us the chance to buy back his car. Now showing just 36,424 miles, the car has reverted back to its original registration of V715DMW.

This is a remarkably original and well-preserved 986 Boxster S built in late 1999, the first year of production of the 3.2 flat-six S model. Just 36,424 miles in over 23 years equates to about 1,600 miles a year, and with 15 service stamps in the maintenance record (11 from Porsche Centres, 2 from renowned Porsche specialist Cath Burrows, 1 from our specialist Martin Reed, and a Minor service in May 2022 at a local garage), this is one VERY special 986 Boxster S.

The original Zenith Blue paintwork is fabulous, the Metropole Blue ruffled leather interior almost unmarked, and the car features some wonderful period options – Litronic xenon headlights with washers, ASR and ABD Traction Control (the forerunner to PSM), extended leather to dashboard and door panels, rear parking sensors, cruise control, automatic air conditioning and the original PCM Porsche Communication Management, complete with antique satellite navigation (that still works, but probably has half our roads missing!).

It drives beautifully and looks superb, and we prepared the car for sale in 2021 with a Major service, brake fluid change, new AC condensers and a new remote key head. On the road it feels like a 2 year old car, with supple suspension and tight as a drum build quality, yet with the feel and response that is missing in most modern cars. An absolute blast to drive and a wonderful machine in all respects. This time around we will carry out a full inspection, Yearly check and a brake fluid change.
