A superb 987.1 Boxster 3.4 S in a rare colour, CN56LVS has covered just 75,805 miles from new, and benefits from having had only 4 owners in 17 years, the most recent having bought the car in December 2010. Fitted with some nice options – heated sports seats, 19″ SportDesign wheels, BOSE sound system, rear parking sensors and carbon interior trim – and with an excellent service history, the car drives perfectly and looks fantastic in Cobalt Blue.
We are lucky to get offered lots of nice Boxsters and Caymans, and then every now and again we get a call like this one, from an owner who has cherished his car for over a decade, and entrusted it to the same Porsche specialist for his entire ownership period (13 years in this case). In addition to the Major service above, we have also completed a brake fluid change, replaced the rear brake pipes between the flexi hoses and calipers, fitted a new water pump, coolant hoses and crossover pipes, replaced the inner steering track rods, fitted new front brake discs and pads, and new front tyres (Bridgestine Potenza Sport to match the recently renewed rear tyres). The history folder also includes a full set of MOT certificates back to the first one issued in 2010.
Whenever we buy 3.4 engined 987.1 Boxsters and Caymans, we always carry out a bore scope to inspect the condition of the cylinder bores, as these engines can be susceptible to bore scoring. CN56LVS was inspected at 75,805 miles on 13.2.24 and all cylinder bores are clear of any scoring. We have images of the bores and are happy to share these with prospective owners.
The car is in very good cosmetic condition, the Cobalt Blue paint all original and presents well. There is some very light stone chipping to the front bumper and bonnet, and a small scuff to the lower leading edge of the bumper, but nothing that really detracts from the appearance of the car. The 19″ Sport Design wheels have no kerb marks or corrosion, and the black leather interior with carbon trim highlights is in excellent condition throughout. The black hood is also in great order and works correctly.
On the road, CN56LVS offers scintillating performance from the 3.4 litre flat-six, with direct steering, precise gearchanges and powerful brakes combining with the innate handling balance of a mid engined roadster to provide a wonderful driving experience. We are blessed with some great driving roads right on our doorstep here on the edge of Exmoor, and this car excels in this environment.
