Looking mean and moody in its “triple black” specification of Basalt Black metallic paint, black leather interior and hood, and colour coded black 18″ Boxster S wheels, LX05FPU is a great entry point to 987 Boxster ownership. It does have a few more miles on the clock than most of our stock, but it has been well looked after with 9 service stamps in the maintenance record, all but one at Porsche dealers or renowned marque specialists.

These 2.7 engined 987 Boxsters offer a great combination of performance and reliability, with sensible running costs including lower road tax for pre-2006 models.

LX05FPU is fitted with upgraded 18″ Boxster S alloy wheels, shod with Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres (brand new at the front). The black leather interior features red seat belts, automatic air conditioning and a Becker Porsche CDR-24 CD radio with 6-disc CD autochanger.

On the road, this Boxster is alive with steering feel and feedback, the handling surefooted and supple, with great throttle response, a precise gearchange and reassuringly powerful brakes. Everything works as it should, the electric hood opening and closing in just 15 seconds.
